Another fantastic "toy" from Learning Resources is the Candy Construction. When I opened the box Kenzie immediately wanted to open and start playing with the bright and colorful candy pieces.
I told Kenzie that she could build with her candy pieces and she started at it. The pieces are large enough for a toddler to play with and sturdy enough not to worry about excess pieces ending up in their mouths and creating hazards. Although the recommended age is 4-8, Kenzie had no problems putting together the pieces. She did not build the sample creations according to the directions, however, she used her imagination and started building hammers, mickey's clubhouse, lollipops, handy helper and much more!
The 92 piece set includes everything to make your child's imagination blossom. A mini architect in training :) Kenzie played with this set for hours on the first day and still puts in an hour a day building to her heart's content. I have to admit that this is her current favorite "toy" and you can really involve the entire family in building fun. Even in my pre-Mason state, I got on her mat and spent an hour building. Kenzie has built cars: the Acura, the Volvo, the Honda and even Mickey's car. I really do have to recommend this construction set for anyone with a toddler to elementary age. It is also the perfect gift. Also, who doesn't love candy?
Buy It: You can purchase Candy Construction for $34.99.
