Educational Insights: Hot Dots & Giveaway!

Educational Insights

Hello! MVP’s BFF’s momma here again. Bringing you the review for Educational Insights Hot Dots.

These are picture flashcards that have questions and your child picks the answers using a Dog pen (that’s the one Big sister chose) but there are other “pet” pens available. There are 72 cards per set to help your child learn their letters, numbers, shapes, patterning, sequencing and more. When the pen is placed on the correct answer it makes happy sounds, lights up and intermittently vibrates. It even tells you when you answer wrong with not so happy tones.

Big sister liked playing with these since her brain is like a sponge right now so anything she can learn and “be right” at really makes her happy.

A little warning though, this is not an independent learning toy if your child cannot read more than 3 letters since each card has questions like “Which of these things start with the same letter as…”. Once I did a few cards with her, she was able to figure things out but not all cards are this same question so some parent interaction is needed.

There are different learning sets available like numbers, counting, science, phonics and they have all age groups for each.  All the cards come in a nice carrying case with handles so it is super easy to clean up and put away.  This is also available on iTunes.  The little one just liked looking at all the pictures on the cards. =)

Buy It:  You can purchase the Hot Dots Ace Pen for $12.99, Hot Dots Jr. Beginning Phonics for $14.99 and Hot Dots Numbers & Counting for $14.99.
