Innovation with Cranial Cradle & Giveaway!

One major worry of mine when Kenzie was born was making sure she didn't get a "flat head" from sleeping on her back.  Due to the worry of SIDS I always lay her on her back but she preferred sleeping on her tummy so that helped keep her head nice and round.  Cranial Cradle created an innovative mattress to address this very concern.  We received the Pod Crib Mattress.

This crib mattress is like no other I have seen because it technically grows with your child in 3 stages.  First, the side with the "pod" is recommended for infants 0-3 months.  The pod design allows for relief of external pressure on your babe's head and body.  It also allows you to avoid the necessity of various sleep positioners in the market.  Next, when baby is about 3 months or once they can roll over you can flip the mattress to the smooth side.  Finally, when you have a toddler on your hands and have transitioned to a toddler size bed, you can use this same mattress!

The mattress has a moisture resistant cover which is removable and washable.  It's also super light weighing a mere 5.8 pounds!  The 6 inch thickness makes it cushy yet supportive.  It is made of a high density foam and with phthalate-compliant, fire-resistant, lead-free, non-toxic materials.  It also meets and exceeds all federal and state safety testing standards so you know your child will safely sleep on this unique mattress.

I can't wait for Bean 2 to use this mattress to make sure his head stays round :)

Each month in 2012 Cranial Cradle will be giving away a FREE bassinet pad to one of their fans on Facebook and Twitter!  Make sure to follow to find out how to win!
