A good weekend travel bag is a must for a toddler as much as it is for an adult. The duffle bag I was using (from work raffle) ended up falling apart after less than 5 uses. I was excited to receive the Grand Traveler from Vera Bradley for Kenzie to use. We received the Summer Cottage print which features a vibrant flower print all over.
I was surprised at the capacity of the bag. When folded flat, it doesn't look to be large but once you start packing, it holds quite a lot. I packed Kenzie's clothing for the weekend as well as her diapers, snacks, shoes, toys and accesories. It took up less than half of the space so I decided to add my own clothing, shoes, curling iron and two bags of toiletries. There was still a bit of room so I added Kenzie's portable DVD player as well.
I am so amazed that the Vera Bradley Grand Traveler really does hold a grand amount of things. It will be nice for Kenzie to share with her brother when he comes along. I will need to get my own haha. I really like the subtle quilted look and was surprised at how sturdy the bag was with the weight of the packing. The rolled handles are of the perfect length to place under your arm or you can use the detachable shoulder strap (Hubs used the shoulder strap).
Another fabulous feature of this bag are the multitude of pockets both inside and outside! Two slip pockets in back and two slip pockets underneath the front magnetic flap as well as four large slip pockets inside. There is also an exterior ID window and zip closure for when you use it as a carry on. The bag is also machine washable - wowza!
Vera Bradley has an expansive collection of products including handbags, crossbody bags, accessories, wallets & wristlets, totes, mom & baby items and much more!
Kenzie would love the child's apron - a bit more proper than her current rendition using bubble wrap, kitchen towel or daddy's clothing.
Buy It: You can purchase the Grand Traveler for $118.
