Ready to Trek the Mountains with Onya Baby Outback Carrier & One for You!

Onya Baby

I love babywearing but it has come to the point where I get tired of carrying Kenzie for long periods of time because of my current condition.  We received the Onya Baby Outback Carrier for review and it rocks!

Right off the bat the Onya Baby Outback Carrier is different than any other I own due to its material: water-resistant, rip-stop nylon exterior and air-mesh lining.  It is durable as well as comfortable to wear.  The straps are thick and padded.  The clips are very sturdy and are placed stragetically to allow for maximum comfort and ease to the wearer.

I usually get hot with Kenzie on me (Hub says I'm a heater) but I remained cool during Kenzie's "ride".  The "head support" is great for Kenzie's head not to flop around when she is napping.  It can also be folded down the the child is awake to allow for free range of movement exploration.  There are double-entry, side-zippered koala pouch and patch pockets which are great if you wanted to be handsfree but carrying around some necessities (i.e. cell phone, keys, credit cards).   The toy loops on each shoulder strap will come in handy with Bean #2 (d-ring must be purchased separately).

The sleeping hood is large and doesn't cause head sweat - wahooO!  It accomodates heads of all sizes and you can adjust it by simple snaps.  The Outback Carrier is machine washable so you can take it everywhere - hikes, beach, mountains, etc. and a simple toss into the wash makes it come out like new.  Note - I must again commend the material because it doesn't get dirty as easily as regular cotton.

I carried Kenzie throughout our tag along trip to Vegas and she was happy and cozy in her new Onya!  The seat is wide and her leg straps are well padded for maximum comfort.  I would love an adult version for Hubs to tote me around in :)

Another unique feature of the Onya Baby Outback Carrier is the transformation into a chair harness which means one less thing to carry when traveling/going out to eat.  I can't wait to try out this feature with Bean #2.  Obviously, Kenzie is not in the stage to be strapped to a chair during mealtimes *big sigh.

One Winner will Receive an Onya Baby
Outback Carrier (ARV $149)!

  2. I learned that the Outback offers a more performance-oriented approach to the soft-structured carrier. A durable, water-resistant, rip-stop nylon exterior and air-mesh lining makes it perfect for hot weather or hiking the trails.

  14. This looks like a great carrier. I finally found one that both my son and myself like, but it isn't made with this material. This material would be perfect for fly fishing and camping with our little tike!
