Baby Must Haves: Comotomo Bottles & One for You!

I really am determined to get Bean #2 on a bottle as soon as he/she has figured out the entire breastfeeding latch.  I made the mistake of introducting Kenzie to a bottle a bit late in the game so she was frustrated, I was frustrated, she was hungry when I went back to work, I was concerned over her hunger, so on and so on.  Comotomo created a BPA Freee, natural shaped bottle with a silicone material that will hopefully make the transition easier for me and baby.

The Comotomo bottle has minimal parts (bottle, ring, nipple and cap) which is great because when you are sleep-deprived any extra parts can take oh so much longer to put together.  The base of the nipple is wide so it imitates the breast and the silicone body is squishy so baby can hold onto with ease.  The wide body makes it easy to wash without special brushes.  The entire bottle is safe in boiling water, microwave and the dishwasher.

The unique design in the nipple allows for less air-intake by your baby.  This is necessary for those tots who spit up often or have excessive gas and/or colic.  The bottle comes in two sizes (150 ml and 250 ml), 2 colors and various nipple sizes are also available.

Overall, I am excited to have Bean #2 try the Comotomo bottle and purchase more if he takes to it.  The design, materials and uniqueness get a thumbs up.

  7. I love that they have a wide opening (I hate washing the skinnier ones and when you pull the brush out it tries to spray everywhere). And I love that the body is silicone - that's a really neat idea! I would loooooove to try this out with the new baby in August!

  16. Love that it mimicks the breast. I'm going to breast feed #2 and hope he does as well switching between breast and bottle as #1 did.
