(1.23.12-1.28.12)

So when I went to the hospital to give birth, the last thing on my mind was how I looked.  It was Christmas Eve and I was in pain.  I had on sweats and sported a short haircut that was not very flattering.  My face was fat and I was fat.  They put me in a flimsy blue hospital gown that didn't stay closed in the back (there were 2-3 ties for the entire thing!).  Needless to say, I do not cherish any of those photos except for the ones with Kenzie alone.

This time around I will be rocking The Peanut Shell Hospital Gown in Whisper (with makeup of course!).  It is made of a soft cotton sateen fabric that has a bit of stretch.  It is heavy duty and far from flimsy.  The best feature (for me) is the diagonal snap closure (on both sides) for easy breastfeeding access!  Although I told myself I would most likely pump or formula feed bean #2, I might just cave and breastfeed again.  This feature is great because you don't have to untie and yank down your entire flimsy, generic provided gown.  I love pockets and this gown has one - I don't really know what I'd put in it but I have months to figure it out :)

(I will not be rocking my Gators shirt on delivery date)

(Pretty buttons)

All in all, The Peanut Shell Hospital Gown is perfect for the delivery photo op as well as lounging around at home with your newborn (yes I will be that lazy).  The Peanut Shell also offers beautiful Baby Slings (Heirloom Sling swoon!),  Nursing Covers and Burp Cloths and various On-the-Go products (hello pretty car seat cover).

  2. This is awesome!! I would have definitely preferred this to those yucky scratch hospital gowns! I'd never heard of these before, but will definitely keep it in mind for the next baby shower gift I need to buy :)

  6. Very pretty... I'm a homebirther here, but if I went to the hospital, I'd def want something like this in place of their terribly ugly "gowns!"
