Why is it that children love to be involved when adults "fix" things around the house or "assemble" items? I am mainly speaking of Kenzie from experience. She loves helping daddy with his tools (I panic and take the tools away from her). She even pretends to screw freestanding clothing racks at the shopping centers. Maybe it's all a part of their fascinating imagination.
This imagination and dexterity is nurtured by Eitech. We received the Basic Mini Race Car Construction Set and Basic Race Car Construction Set for review.
The Basic Mini Race Car Construction Set is recommended for ages 6 and up. Hubs of course had fun assembling this toy as he enjoys this type of tinkering fun and hasn't had the chance in a long time. Most all of the pieces are made of stainless steel. Hubs said that it was a bit complicated and he couldn't imagine a 6 year old being able to put together this product without the assistance of an older child/adult. He took about an hour or so assembling this car. Kenzie enjoyed watching daddy put together the car and even zoomed it across the floor (before Uncle gave it away to Kenzie's cousin - without her permission!).
The car is solid and smooth. There are some small pieces that are included so parent supervision is necessary. All of the tools necessary to build this neat car is included in the box. Overall a very creative "toy" for age-appropriate children and even adults.
The Beginner Race Car Construction Set, although recommended for children ages 4 and up, is a bit more appropriate for Kenzie. She hounded Hubs to open the box and "build it" with her. The plastic primary colors are bright appealing to my tot. The individual pieces are durable and easy to put together (tools included in this set as well). Kenzie was able to "build" her new Race Car with the help of daddy.
Eitech has many different building sets for children of all ages. I believe Kenzie would enjoy several different sets as she grows up. I especially like the Exclusive Special Edition Eiffel Tower with Lights Construction Set. It would also make a great preview gift for someone planning a trip to Paris!
