"Recycled" has a new meaning for Kenzie after receiving her School Bus from Green Toys - who creates children's toys from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. All Green Toys products are 100% made in the USA - yay! The toys are also packaged in 100% recyclable boxes and are BPA free. We actually have the Green Toys Pizza Parlor but Kenzie hasn't picked up the concept of "making pizza" - just trying to eat it.
How fun is this School Bus? I let Kenzie watch the Magic School Bus sometimes so it's awesome that she can associated her new Green Toys School Bus with the show. The School Bus is large enough for Kenzie to put some of her toys in as passengers. The bus is a solid one-piece toy which is great because that means no missing pieces for me to search for in the toy basket.
The Green Toys School Bus is also a learning aid in that Kenzie will become familiar with the concept of "riding a bus" for when she has to ride one in the future (if they actually still have children riding buses here). The school bus used to pick me up from just one house down to go to a school that was less than 5 miles away. I don't see as many school buses in California... just a mass of parents dropping off/picking up their children causing traffic! I do get irritated with the traffic here in Southern California but I suppose I should be a bit more accepting just in case I become one of those parents causing the traffic :)
I think little plastic passengers would be perfect for Kenzie to put in her bus (maybe a Birthday/Christmas gift idea). The neat thing about the Green Toys Bus is that it is dishwasher safe - just need a large, new dishwasher to put it in.
Green Toys has a fabulous selection for kids of all ages. I especially like their Green Eats Tableware. They are made from 100% recycled milk containers and are BPA free in addition to a list of goodness!
