REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Learning About Feelings with Kimochis



Kenzie received the Huggtopus with Mixed Feelings Pack 4 from Kimochis.  Kimochi (KEY.MO.CHEE) means "feeling" in Japanese.  The purpose of the plush dolls is to help kids become better communicators and express their feelings.  


Kenzie is in the "repeat and associate" stage.  She repeats words and actually associates them with the action/thing.  She is a sponge and we really have to be careful about what we say/do around her.  It is just an amazing phase and we are having fun listening to her pronunciations.

As soon as she saw her Huggtopus I explained that it was an Octopus.  Her "Octotus" is getting lots of play and is even carried to bed at nite nite.  The Huggtopus comes with the Happy, Frustrated, and Silly feelings.  Happy, Silly and B_ave are well expressed but Frustrated is a little more difficult for Kenzie to say. 




I like that there is one feeling you can write in yourself.  This will be great when Kenzie is a bit older and she can think of a feeling she makes up haha.  She takes the feelings and puts them right next to her face while saying Happy and Silly.  She also likes to hurl the feelings on the ground and then runs to pick them up for Octotus (future baseball player? hmmm).

    I like the Kimochis® Huggtopus too. I really like the bug but we are trying to get more gender neutral toys and I guess the bug could be considered "girly"
